Back in Thailand

I'm back in Thailand now. A very enjoyable two weeks passed by like two days!

A lot of people are now talking to new friends from Thailand and England alike.

After two weeks that seemed like two days, I met students and teachers from 9 UK schools in three locations spread across the south of England.

For me it was a very worthwhile trip which has introduced many young people to eaxh other and I hope schools will continue to develop good relationships with each other.

Now I hope that students will keep using the website and teachers will also help this project to work by coming a little more involved and supporting their students' work.

for all of those who I met, it was a real pleasure and I hope that we will also keep in contact through the Dreams+Teams website.

At Swadelands School

Here we are at Swadelands School. This is a dispay from Thailand that Ajarn Jason did after visiting Thailand to teach science and get to know their partner school, Satthasamut.

So four schools came to the training today and we got a lot done. Lots of news and lots of postings to the web-board. All of the students who came today are going to go back to their schools and train their friends so soon there will be more Young Leaders talking to more Young Leaders.

Tommorow is the teachers' training day and after that, I'll be going to Leeds for some different business, a day off on Friday (hurray!) and then I'm flying back to Thailand.

This is my supper. Traditional fish and chips for those of you who have never eaten this. It looked too good to eat so I thought I'd take a picture of it!

I've recently arrived here at Victoria station after coming back up from South Dartmoor School in Devon. The teachers and I a good day there learning how to use the website.

Now, I'm waiting for (another) train to take me down to a place called Lenham, which is a village in Kent and also home to Swadelands School where the Kent schools' training will take place tomorrow.

Here I am at Highbury, North London before the game between Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion.

Should be a good game and I shall be cheering on Arsenal to win!

At South Dartmoor, Ashburton, Kent

Hello again!

This is the plush new conference room at South Dartmoor community college and as you can see, the students are hard at work using the Dreams+Teams website.

Ajarn Amelia organised everything and Ajarn Lucy from Ivybridge Community College is also here with students from her school.

Today is Friday and I'll be coming back on Monday to train some teachers from both schools in how to moderate their students' work on the website and web-board.

Tomorrow I'm going to see my favourite team, Arsenal play football in London. I'm very excited about this!

London Conference

Well, today I was at a conference in London about Leadership and Sport for 14-19 year-old young people.

Steve Grainger, director of the Youth Sports Trust gave a key-note speech and talked about the Thailand Dreams+Teams project as being a very successful example of how young people can link together internationally.





Later, Jo Doyle, Evan, Loo and the Cumberland Young Leaders came to do a performance to music. They showed how you can take the throwing patterns lesson further by introducing music. Wow what a great performance they put on after being so nervous while they were practising.

Another great day and now I'm on a fast train to Devon. Training with South Dartmoor and Ivybridge tomorrow.

These are the Hustmere boys. We have just finished our day of training and now they know how to communicate with their partner school, Woranari Chalerm in Songkhla. Thanks Nathan and all Hurstmere Young Leaders for helping us to run such a great workshop.

The next day Stephen Frith from Woodcote came down for the teacher's training but we were missing other London schools.
